P.S. 62
P.S. 62 was designed to address the pressing need for more energy efficient buildings in the New York City public school system. This new school is just under 70,000 square feet and will accommodate over 400 students ranging from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. This Net-Zero energy concept will contribute greatly toward in the pursuit of Green Energy.
Maloya was awarded this project after a number of large panel fabricators could not address the customized welding requirements as specified in the design concept. Maloya then developed the detailed shop drawings necessary to insure that the Architects requirements for the high level of precision in the project design were strictly adhered to. The end result was a complex project delivered to the job site on time, within budget, and with all material sequenced and marked for ease of installation.
